I would like to give a differentiated review of our stay in the vacation apartment.
Positively highlighted is the beautiful location of the apartment. It is absolutely quiet in a cul-de-sac, a parking space is available. It is about 5 minutes on foot to the beach. Simply great. The apartment is cozy and brightly furnished. A small balcony for 2 people offers the opportunity to sit outside. The balcony furniture is already aging and partially slightly damaged, but still usable.
In the kitchen, there is a window equipped with a fly screen. We missed that on other windows. The biggest drawback is the lack of blackout in the bedrooms. In one room, there is only a thin curtain that does not darken. In the other bedroom (Velux window), there is nothing at all. There are also great solutions for installing mosquito protection and blackout options for sloped roof windows. Unfortunately, it was very bright in the apartment very early. The bedroom with the slope was also extremely cramped; on one side of the bed, there was no normal way to get in, rather it was more like climbing over the other bed. Furthermore, storage space in the bedrooms was really tight, as the closets were filled with many general items. In the kitchen, the kitchen table showed significant wear and tear. Upon inquiry, it was said that this will soon be replaced. But one should not leave such things as they are for their guests. An earlier replacement would have been sensible.
Conclusion: the apartment definitely has good points, but too many weaknesses, wear and tear, and above all, the lack of blackout is a no-go for us.
We will not book this vacation rental again, even though the location is exactly what appeals to us. I hope I was able to help with a differentiated report in finding the right vacation home.

Very warm welcome during the key handover, great tips for possible travel destinations. At departure, we chatted a lot and would have preferred to stay right there.
The accommodation is well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Highlights: insect screens, very comfortable beds, and a small upper terrace right in front of the door. A table grill is ready.
A second refrigerator for drinks (we were there in summer) is also available. Just around the corner, there is a sweet little bathing area with a playground. You can reach the Baltic Sea in 15-20 minutes by car, and it takes about an hour to get to the North Sea.

I was able to spend a wonderful vacation here with my children in the summer of 2026. The warm welcome and the open and so heartfelt interaction of the landlords with us guests were also significant for this. The truly beautiful and well-maintained accommodation, along with all its great amenities, ranging from a private dock with swimming opportunities, table tennis, bicycles, and grilling options to a private parking space and separate access, opened up so many possibilities for us to enjoy a joyful and extraordinary vacation. Additionally, there were the experience offerings that arose from the lake-rich surroundings and the proximity to the vibrant life in Berlin. With children who are small and those who are already sniffing at adulthood, these are opportunities to enjoy together and in harmony. Warm regards to the dear landlord family! We will come back!
